Options
Amazon Web Services EBS – Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) provides persistent block storage volumes for use with Amazon EC2 instances in the AWS Cloud. EBS offers high performance and the ability to scale your usage up or down quickly while paying only for what you use.
Amazon Web Services Glacier – Amazon Glacier is a secure, durable, and extremely low-cost cloud storage service for data archiving and long-term backup. Amazon Glacier provides options for access to archives, from a few minutes to several hours.
Amazon Web Services S3 – Amazon S3 is easy to use object storage, with a simple web service interface to store and retrieve any amount of data from anywhere on the web. Pay only for the storage you actually use. Amazon S3 offers a range of storage classes designed for different use cases, and configurable policies for managing your data throughout its lifecycle.
Azure Managed Disks – Azure VM managed disk storage offers high-performance, durable block storage for virtual machines hosted in Azure. Various performance based teirs available.
Azure Archive - Azure Archive is a secure, durable, and extremely low-cost cloud storage service for data archiving and long-term backup.
Azure Blob - Azure Blob Storage is Microsoft's object storage solution optimized for storing massive amounts of unstructured data.
Azure Files – Azure Files is a fully managed file share service accessible via the industry-standard SMB and NFS protocols. Azure Files shares can be mounted concurrently by cloud or on-premises deployments of Windows, Linux, and macOS. Azure Files shares can also be cached on Windows Servers with Azure File Sync for fast access near where the data is being used.

GCC Azure Blob - Azure Blob Storage for restricted data is Microsoft's object storage solution optimized for storing massive amounts of unstructured data.
GCC Azure Files – Azure Files for restricted data is a fully managed file share service accessible via the industry-standard SMB and NFS protocols. GCC OneDrive for Business – Export controlled OneDrive is the Microsoft cloud service that connects you to all your files. It lets you store and protect your files, share them with others, and get to them from anywhere on your devices.
GCC SharePoint – Export controlled SharePoint Sites provide University organizations and teams with a common location to communicate and share data. SharePoint is designed for collaborative use. Guests can be invited to SharePoint sites. GCC SharePoint users are limited to sharing with other GCC users.
GovCloud Amazon Web Services EBS – Export controlled Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) provides persistent block storage volumes for use with Amazon EC2 instances in the AWS GovCloud. EBS volumes are automatically replicated to provide high availability and durability. EBS offers high performance and the ability to scale your usage up or down quickly while paying only for what you use.
GovCloud Amazon Web Services Glacier – Export controlled Amazon Glacier is a secure, durable, and extremely low-cost cloud storage service for data archiving and long-term backup. Amazon Glacier provides three options for access to archives, from a few minutes to several hours.
GovCloud Amazon Web Services S3 – Export controlled Amazon S3 is easy to use object storage, with a simple web service interface to store and retrieve any amount of data from anywhere on the web. Pay only for the storage you actually use, with no minimum fee and no setup cost. Amazon S3 offers a range of storage classes designed for different use cases, and configurable policies for managing your data throughout its lifecycle.
ITS VM Server Storage - Enterprise-level SAN for virtual server-based applications such as databases whose architecture or performance requirements cannot be satisfied by network file mounts.
ITS Filestore – ITS Filestore provides file storage which enables sharing of files between groups of users and computers.
ITS Backup – ITS Backup is a fee-based, automated, remote backup/archive/storage service that will automatically back up your server or server files and allow you to restore them yourself. Standard Retention policies for the data in the service is 6 months but can be adjusted as needed. Data is kept both on-campus (for quicker recovery) and off-campus (for disaster recovery)
OneDrive for Business – OneDrive is the Microsoft cloud service that connects you to all your files. It lets you store and protect your files, share them with others, and get to them from anywhere on your devices.
SharePoint – SharePoint Sites provide University organizations and teams with a common location to communicate and share data. SharePoint is designed for collaborative use. Guests can be invited to SharePoint sites.
SSD SharePoint – Restricted SharePoint Sites provide University organizations and teams with a common location to communicate and share data. SharePoint is designed for collaborative use. Guests can be invited to SharePoint sites.
Holland Computing Center Attic – Attic is a nearline archival storage system at the Holland Computing Center designed to provide robust and reliable storage for research data. Data is both snapshotted to prevent accidental deletion and replicated with copies in both Omaha and Lincoln Nebraska. Access is available worldwide via scp/sftp/rsync and Globus.
